Go the distance with Club Cross Country in Fighting for a Cure

Join us in our commitment to turn childhood dreams into reality by supporting THON. This year, I am taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers and over 25,000 alumni supporters in the fight against childhood cancer as a Dancer Relations THON Committee Member and as a member of Club Cross Country. The THON community's tireless year-long efforts culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon each February to celebrate our survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and take a stand--all in hopes of one day dancing in celebration of a cure.

Throughout the year, I will be fundraising to benefit THON in an effort to provide outstanding financial and emotional support and spread THON’s mission world-wide. It is my hope that one day, every child will have the opportunity to live out their dreams.

Since 1977, THON has raised over $168 million for our sole beneficiary Four Diamonds at Penn State Children’s Hospital, providing comprehensive care for 4,000 families and funding critical research to take our fight beyond central Pennsylvania and spread hope around the world. We work year-round to provide both financial and emotional support for our families, freeing them from financial concerns so that they can focus solely on fighting their battle and ensuring that they never have to face cancer alone.

Through THON, Club Cross Country is paired with four amazing families, the Kaufmans, the Carters, the Fishers, and the Potters, who support us and add so much to the team. We THON for our families and for all Four Diamond Families. Club Cross Country supports THON all year through our annual Donut Dash 5k, ribboning, Trivia Nights, T-shirt sales, Coin Wars, and more, all leading up to its main event for THON "Miles for Smiles." Miles for Smiles is a 46 hour treadmill running relay to raise money from donations based on the total mileage that the team compiles throughout the weekend. In January 2019, Club Cross Country ran a total of 406 miles and raised $45,798.21 for THON at Miles for Smiles. In total in 2019, Club Cross Country contributed $67,401.09 to THON's overall $10,621,683.76 total!! I am so thankful that I joined Club Cross Country. It is such an amazing group of people that have so much love in their hearts and I cannot wait to complete my second Miles for Smiles with them in January in our effort to fight against pediatric cancer.

I truly appreciate any support you provide, either by making a donation, keeping us in your thoughts, or by sharing my page on social media to spread THON’s mission. Every cent makes a difference.
