Support Me
One Mile at a Time

Ever since I became a part of THON as a freshman at Penn State, I have been driven to take a stance and participate in one of the greatest student-run philanthropies in the world.  I am inspired to work to help find a cure for all the kids who are fighting to live normal lives, one without doctor visits, sickness, constant needles and medicine. This year, I am taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers and over 25,000 alumni supporters in the fight against childhood cancer. Our year-long efforts culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon each February to celebrate our survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and take a stand--all in hopes of one day dancing in celebration of a cure.

I run for the Kaufmans, the Potters, and the Fishers. I am a member in Club Cross Country where we fundraise to benefit THON in an effort to provide outstanding financial and emotional support and spread THON’s mission world-wide. Last year we held a 46-hour treadmill marathon, Miles for Smiles, that raised over $45,000 for our organization. This event was one of the most emotional weekends I have had at Penn State. It was an opportunity for me to learn what THON is all about, raise money for the kids, and get to know about our 3 wonderful families that are paired with us. What an awesome introduction to what THON weekend had in store for Club Cross Country in February where we danced our hearts out!

Since 1977, THON has raised over $157 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Children’s Hospital, providing comprehensive care for 4,000 families and fund critical research to take our fight beyond central Pennsylvania and spread hope around the world. We work year-round to provide both financial and emotional support for our families, ensuring that they never have to face cancer alone.

I am committed to continuously fight for the end of childhood cancer so one day every kid can pursue their childhood dream. I truly appreciate any support you provide, either by making a donation or by sharing my page on social media to spread THON’s mission.
