Make an impact in the life of a child today

It is with great pleasure that we ask you to join us in support of the 2021 THON fundraiser at Penn State University.  As many of you know, THON is a very special organization that is near and dear to our family.  The work they do allowed us to give 100% of our focus to Margot and her specialized treatment plan when she was battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia instead of worrying about how we were going to pay the bills, figure out meals while she was in the hospital, and pay for gas getting her to and from appointments.  They provide so much support for all of the children and families in the Penn State Children's hospital to make sure every family is getting exactly what they need and can make sure their child is getting phenomenal care.  We are eternally grateful to THON and the Four Diamonds Foundation and want to do whatever we can to give back to others currently going through their battle. When you decide to support THON™, you become a partner in the ongoing fight against childhood cancer, a fight that hits close to home for our family. Our family is a Four Diamonds Family who has personally experienced, benefitted, and appreciated the efforts of THON, which is a community with more than 16,500 student volunteers and more than 25,000 alumni that work tirelessly to support more than 3,700 families like ours at Penn State Children's Hospital. These efforts culminate in a 46 hour, no sitting, no sleeping dance marathon held every February. As the largest student run philanthropy in the world, THON's mission is to provide emotional and financial support, spread awareness and ensure funding for critical research-- all in pursuit of a cure. Since 1977, THON has raised over $146 million dollars, For The Kids™! Last year alone, the THON community raised $10,151,663.93, generating the funds to support: 

• 50,227 hours of nutritional therapy
• 66,970 days of outpatient therapy
• 13,394 research experiments
• 6,697 days to manage all patient needs
• 13,394 routine maintenance visits for therapy and treatment for a child

THON's hope is for every child to have the opportunity to live out their childhood dreams. Despite advancements in research and treatment, this may not be a reality for some. With your help, we will continue to fight for the day that no parent has to hear the words, "your child has cancer." It takes each and every student, volunteer, alumnus, donor, and supporter to spread awareness of THON's mission across the country and throughout the world.
