I THON... for more memories, bigger smiles, and endless laughs.

Hershey, PA is not only my hometown, but the epicenter of the largest student-run philanthropy in the world (yes, the WORLD). For those of you who might not know, THON has raised over $180 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Children’s Hospital, providing comprehensive care for 4,000 families and fund critical research to take our fight beyond central Pennsylvania and spread hope around the world. Our year-long efforts culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon each February to celebrate our survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and take a stand--all in hopes of one day dancing in celebration of a cure.

I have been involved with THON ever since my high school years, when I participated in mini-THON and raised over $1000 by creating my own fundraiser. I knew when I got accepted to Penn State that I needed to get involved in THON right away. I joined the Penn State Women's Club Lacrosse team, and saw how much of a focus they put towards THON. I was also given the opportunity to take a trip to Penn State's Children Hospital to see how donations positively impact the hospital and their efforts to curing childhood cancer. During THON weekend, I got to participate in THON Explorers which was an opportunity for THON families to learn how to play sports like lacrosse! Everyday I feel grateful to be a part of something so amazing, and it has even inspired me to pursue a career in the medical field to continue my efforts of making a difference.

Throughout the year, I will be fundraising to benefit THON in an effort to provide outstanding financial and emotional support and spread THON’s mission world-wide. It is my hope that one day, every child will have the opportunity to live out their dreams.

I truly appreciate any support you provide, either by making a donation or by sharing my page on social media to spread THON’s mission. Remember, it's for the kids!
