Welcome to THON 2021! Thank you for considering donating to an organization that changes so many lives each and every day. THON holds a special place in my heart and has become my favorite aspect of Penn State. I am forever grateful and thankful for the relationships I have been able to create and maintain throughout the years.

This year, I have the honor of serving Club Swimming as a Fundraising Chair. This position is so special because I create and execute special events that help raise money. I enjoy retaining member engagement and watching relationships form from THON experiences. It is such a good feeling knowing I helped create long lasting memories for not only myself but also other members on the team.

Club Swimming has the honor of hosting two Four Diamonds Families: The A’Niah Butler Family and The Alyssa Yeagley Family. Fortunately, I have had the privilege to meet and speak with both families and words cannot express how awesome they both are. A’Niah is a spunky 10-year-old who just simply loves life. She is on her local football team and loves to hang out with her family. Alyssa is now a senior in high school cheering this fall. Both are now in remission and doing extremely well! We are excited to be paired with them again this year and hope to see them soon!

In addition, I am also a Donor Relations Captain for DAR, a branch of THON that speaks with donors and spreads THON’s mission. I am super excited to be awarded with a greater leadership position and to work with amazing people. I am determined to assist in any way I can to ensure this year as the most memorable one yet.

THON 2021 is already so special to me and I am so glad YOU have considered donating. Please know that every single cent is so important to one day curing childhood cancer. Imagine a world where no parent ever has to hear the words “your child has cancer.” Wouldn’t that be amazing?
