This year, I am excited to take on the role as the Primary THON Chair for club soccer and represent the Fry family! I look forward to organizing fundraising events and building a relationship with Trey and his family. I'm also a member of COMMunications- Education committee. I help educate and empower others to learn about THON within the Penn State community.
Last year I was unfortunately abroad during THON weekend, but supported across the pond and watched my friends dance virtually! I also supported club soccer fundraising and helped contribute to the Frys.
Sophomore year, I was also a member of R&R on the fundraising safety committee helping to keep everyone safe during THON weekend. Selected as a weekend worrier, I had the chance to be a resource and keep my members energetic / positive throughout our 35 hours of volunteering.
Freshman year was my first experience with THON and was unlike anything else I have experienced in my life. I was a member of Futures, which is a student run organization that helps raise money for THON as well as a member of a Rules & Regulation committee. THON weekend I volunteered for 32 hours to check family members and friends on and off the floor to visit their dancers. I am a member of the Women's Club soccer team and raising money to fight childhood cancer as well as supporting the Fry THON family.
I truly appreciate any support you provide, either by making a donation or by sharing my page on social media to spread THON’s mission.
Join us in our commitment to turn childhood dreams into reality by supporting THON. This year, I am taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers and over 25,000 alumni supporters in the fight against childhood cancer. Our year-long efforts culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon each February to celebrate our survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and take a stand--all in hopes of one day dancing in celebration of a cure.
Throughout the year, I will be fundraising to benefit THON in an effort to provide outstanding financial and emotional support and spread THON’s mission world-wide. It is my hope that one day, every child will have the opportunity to live out their dreams.
Since 1977, THON has raised over $157 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Children’s Hospital, providing comprehensive care for 4,000 families and fund critical research to take our fight beyond central Pennsylvania and spread hope around the world. We work year-round to provide both financial and emotional support for our families, ensuring that they never have to face cancer alone.
As a senior, this is my last opportunity to fundraise and give back to these children as well as their families. Any donation big or small will truly go a long way for these families and support them. Thank you so much in advance!
