Dancing

Growing up is a beautiful thing. Let’s fight for it.

Penn State THON is the largest student run philanthropy in the world, with 16,500 student volunteers in the fight against childhood cancer. THON's proceeds go toward the Four Diamonds Foundation at Penn State Children's Hospital to fund critical research and ensure families never have to see a bill. Last year, THON raised a total of 10 million dollars. THON’s year-long efforts culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon each February to celebrate our survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and take a stand in hopes of one day dancing in celebration of a cure.

I’ve been a part of the THON community since my freshman year here at PSU. Throughout that time - I’ve met some amazing people, I’ve heard remarkable stories, and I’ve grown a passion for this community and cause. THON has shaped my Penn State experience. This year, my roommate, Caroline, and I are fundraising in the hopes of being able to dance in THON weekend.
