Join us in our commitment to turn childhood dreams into reality by supporting THON. This year, I am taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers and over 25,000 alumni supporters in the fight against childhood cancer. Our year-long efforts culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon each February to celebrate our survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and take a stand--all in hopes of one day dancing in celebration of a cure.
My THON journey started over 5 years ago when my older brother became a dancer for Penn State's business fraternity, Phi Chi Theta and my older sister became a committee member for THON 2014. My family went up to Penn State for a weekend that would, unbeknownst to me, change my life forever. I was able to witness the incredible experience that thousands of Penn State students created, the love and support each individual involved had on those affected by cancer and a community of passionate young adults all striving for a better world.
It is with great privilege that I have been able to become a part of the THON community myself and work alongside like-minded individuals whose passion and dedication have inspired me to give back. Last year, I was chosen to be a dancer relations committee member. During THON weekend, I was there to support my two amazing dancers who completed 46 hours of no sitting and no sleeping, so they could be there for the kids! I am excited to do the same for two new dancers this year for THON 2020!
This year, I am also grateful to continue my fundraising efforts for THON through my business fraternity, Phi Chi Theta! This past year, Phi Chi Theta helped raise over $85,000 for THON 2019; through generous donations, I hope to do my part as a member of this amazing organization and contribute to our THON 2020 total. PCT has been paired with: The Savion Atterberry Family, The Jackie Mazur Family, and The Leiland Smith Family.
I am so excited to join the fight against childhood cancer through my org, Phi Chi Theta. I truly appreciate any support you provide, either by making a donation or by sharing my page on social media to spread THON’s mission. Thank you for taking the time to read about my THON story!
