Make an impact in the life of a child today

Hello, and welcome to my page!

When you decide to support THON™, you become a partner in the ongoing fight against childhood cancer. As part of my organization, Alphia Phi Omega and the Rules & Regulations Fundraising Safety Committee benefitting THON, I am working alongside 16,500 student volunteers and over 25,000 alumni to support more than 4,000 families at Penn State Children’s Hospital to one day end the fight against childhood cancer.  Since THON’s beginning in 1973, we have raised over $168 million dollars, For The Kids™!

This year, I am taking action in the fight against childhood cancer. Throughout the year, I am fundraising on behalf of my organization, Alpha Phi Omega and the Rules & Regulations Fundraising Safety Committee benefiting THON to offset the costs of treatment that insurance cannot cover, expenses that improve the welfare of kids, and fund critical research in pursuit of finding a cure. I am committed to enhancing the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer as well as building lasting relationships with the Four Diamonds families, and it is my hope that one day every child has the opportunity to live out their childhood dreams.

My THON story began in my freshman year of college here at Penn State. As a new college student that was never really involved with Mini-THON or anything related in high-school, I was unfamiliar with THON. I joined a service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, that year and took part in their philanthropic efforts.  I was able to briefly go to THON that year, but that small amount of time changed my life forever. The sheer brilliance of seeing all the dancers, THON volunteers and Four Diamonds Families enjoying one 46 hour weekend a year, was breathtaking to me.

My Sophomore year of college is when I joined my first THON committee and became much more involved with Alpha Phi Omega's philanthropic efforts. I was also selected to be on the Rules & Regulations Committee and it was one of the best years of my life up until this point and little did I know it would get so much better from here. This was also the first year I got to meet Alpha Phi Omega's paired THON family - The Rowan Family. Nothing impacted me more than meeting this family for the first time, seeing what they have been through, and then realizing why I am doing, what I am doing - all for these families!

For THON 2020, I was honored with being selected to become a captain for the Rules & Regulations Fundraising Safety Committee! I have always wanted to do the most that I can for an organization that has given me so much, while also giving away so much to wonderful families like the Rowan's! I chose to become a captain because I would like to further THON's mission, see more families and kiddos smile, and to keep pushing forward what this great organization is doing! Please consider donating to THON today!

Your contribution will fund innovative research that will not only enhance treatment for children in Pennsylvania but is also giving hope to childhood cancer patients worldwide! Together, with every student, volunteer, alumnus, donor, and supporter, we can spread awareness of THON’s mission across the country and throughout the world. With your support of THON, together, we will make a difference in the lives of children nationwide. Join us in the fight, For The Kids.

Thanks for Stopping By!
