Growing up is a beautiful thing. Let’s fight for it.
When my cousin was diagnosed with leukemia back in 2011 when he was only 10 years old, it rocked my family's world. Seeing my cousin, the person who would always light up a room, tired and sick during treatment was hard for the whole family.
My cousin's cancer diagnosis spurred action in my local community and family, where my brother led the charge to start a MiniTHON at my high school to raise money for the Four Diamonds. I helped lead MiniTHON when I was in high school as well, always serving as the Family Relations contact person.
Now as a proud Penn State senior, I am the family relations chair for Lion Ambassador's THON efforts. Being able to build strong bonds with families that are battling childhood cancer has been the most humbling experience of my college career, and has exponentially grown my love for the cause.
This year, I am raising money for families like mine. Families like the Pantanos, Garcias, and Frysingers. I am raising money so no family has to worry about a medical bill, but rather can focus on cheering on their warrior back to health. Join me in the fight!
I truly appreciate any support you provide, either by making a donation or by sharing my page on social media to spread THON’s mission.
