Make a difference in the life of a child today

Help save the lives of children battling cancer by supporting THON™. Marie Nolen and Audrey Azadi (2025) is taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers to raise funds and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer. Since 1977, THON has raised over $236 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children's Hospital. Throughout our partnership, we have ensured that over 4,800 families have not seen a single medical bill. In addition, the local research that is being done is making a global impact so that one day, we will find a cure. Each February, THON's yearlong efforts and support for the families culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon. By supporting THON, you will be joining a community committed to conquering childhood cancer, For The Kids®.

Marie Nolen is from Bucks County, PA and began getting involved in THON™ at Neshaminy High School, during mini-THON™. When she came to Penn State, she continued to stay involved by joining the Hospitality committee her freshman year. She continued her efforts by becoming elected as her organization, Epsilon Sigma Alpha's primary THON™ chair. During this time her passion and love for THON™ continued and by the end of her sophomore year she became Epsilon Sigma Alpha's Donor Alumni Relations chair. This year she has partnered up with her roommate and close friend Audrey Azadi, in hope to dance as and Independent Dancer Couple for THON™ Weekend 2025.

Audrey Azadi is from San Carlos, CA. As she traveled across the country for college, she didn't have much knowledge to what THON™ was, and how much of an impact it would soon have on her life as a college student. Her freshman she joined the organization Epsilon Sigma Alpha and was able to gain more insight as to what THON™ was all about. She was touched by the impact THON™ had on children and families and immediately wanted to get involved. By the end of her freshman year, she was elected Alternative Fundraising chair for her organization. Throughout her time in this role, she too, gained a love to continue spreading awareness for this cause. This has led Audrey to partner up with her close friend Marie Nolen as they hope to dance in THON™ 2025.
