Growing up is a beautiful thing, let's fight for it.

Help save the lives of children battling cancer by supporting THON. Pi Beta Phi is taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers to raise funds and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer. Since 1977, THON has raised over $204 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children's Hospital. Throughout our partnership, we have ensured that over 4,800 families have not seen a single medical bill. In addition, the local research that is being done is making a global impact so that one day, we will find a cure. Each February, THON's yearlong efforts and support for the families culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon. By supporting THON, you will be joining a community committed to conquering childhood cancer

By joining forces with Pi Beta Phi, you not only provide direct support to families navigating the challenges of active cancer treatment, but you also contribute to a broader impact. Through our partnership, exemplified by families like The Muñoz's, The Jarrett's, and The Kricher's, the beacon of hope shines brightly through the transformative power of THON.

Consider Crystal Muñoz's journey—a resilient pediatric cancer survivor who now nurtures a family of five, one of whom champions our cause at Penn State Altoona by spearheading the ribboning campaign. Your contributions pave the way for a future where Crystal's children can grow and thrive, free from the shadows cast by pediatric cancer. Moreover, the bonds of love kindled at Penn State THON have woven Luis and Crystal's lives together for over 26 THONs, a testament to the enduring impact of our collective efforts.

Reflect on Courtney Jarrett, our cherished guardian angel whose memory we honor in hues of orange, a symbol of her vibrant spirit. Fourteen years have passed since her departure, yet her essence lives on through her loving family—mother Stephanie, sisters Tiffany and Hailey, brother Zach (and his wife Samantha), and a multitude of friends and relatives. Courtney's love for cheerleading and her infectious smile remain etched in our hearts, inspiring us to perpetuate her legacy with reverence and joy.

Contemplate the radiant soul of Tori Kricher, who, despite succumbing to the relentless grip of ALL leukemia at age 10, continues to illuminate our path with her enduring light. Her devoted family—Glenn and Holly Kricher, alongside sisters April and Alexis—entrusted us with the privilege of honoring Tori's memory when they joined forces with Pi Beta Phi in 2023. Tori's radiant spirit touched all who knew her, and through our collective endeavors, we advocate fiercely for the gift of growing up—a precious privilege denied to Tori and so many others taken too soon.

Let these narratives serve as windows into the profound reasons driving our commitment to THON. May they inspire you to join us in our mission to uplift, support, and advocate for those affected by pediatric cancer. Together, we can illuminate the path towards a brighter, cancer-free future for all.
