Join Penn State Women in Business in the Fight Against Childhood Cancer in Hopes Of A Cure!

Penn State Women In Business was founded in 1997 and is a professional development organization at the Smeal College of Business. We accept all students and provide them with opportunities to connect with professionals through our events and network. We have had the pleasure of being paired with 3 Four Diamond Families- The Corls, The Newcombs, and our newest addition, The Nolls. We THON together for a better tomorrow, louder laughs, and bigger smiles.

Women In Business THON is headed by one of our Executive members, Olivia Bonvenuto. Olivia Bonvenuto serves as the THON Director of Women in Business for the 2023-2024 academic year. She oversees WIB's THON fundraising efforts, communication with families, selection of our THON Dancers, and delegates tasks to the Fundraising, Family Relations, and Donor & Alumni Relations Chairs.

Laikin Wisner serves as the Fundraising Chair, she organizes group fundraisers for over 300 members to partake in. Gracie Cain serves as the Family Relations Chair, she is our primary contact between our 3 amazing THON families and will organize events that provide our members more opportunities to be with our THON Families. Lastly, Emma Hoban serves as the Donor & Alumni Relations Chair, the primary contact between our alumni and our corporate donors.

Help save the lives of children battling cancer by supporting THON. Women In Business is taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers to raise funds and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer. Since 1977, THON has raised over $204 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children's Hospital. Throughout our partnership, we have ensured that over 4,800 families have not seen a single medical bill. In addition, the local research that is being done is making a global impact so that one day, we will find a cure. Each February, THON's yearlong efforts and support for the families culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon. By supporting THON, you will join a community committed to conquering childhood cancer. #FTK #TOGETHERWEWILL

Last year we had 3 dancers for THON 2023! They completed 46 hours of no sitting, and no standing inside the BJC! All 3 seniors got to have one of the greatest opportunities any Penn State Student could have. We appreciate all of their hard work and dedication, not only to THON but to Women in Business. Thank you Michelle Liang, Brittnay Fritz, and Briley Spindler.
