What are THON and Apollo?

THON is a 46-hour dance marathon dedicated to fighting against childhood cancer. Organized and run entirely by the students of Penn State, THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, raising over 11 million dollars last year alone. Apollo is a club dedicated to supporting THON through various fundraisers and events like our yearly Food Truck Festival. Last year, Apollo raised just under $70,000, and this year we are hoping to raise even more.

Where does my money go?

As part of our THON mission, we support the Four Diamond Foundation and our families. We are fortunate to have three families: the Mummerts, the Sanchezes, and the Yohes. Each of these families have shown immense strength in their fights against childhood cancer. We are fortunate enough to have two Thon children in remission and one looking down on us from above as we NGU for her. The money we raise goes towards the Four Diamonds Foundation, who provide financial support to families in need and use the remaining money to support cancer research.  We work constantly to give children more birthdays and to find a cure for this terrible disease.

Through donations, we are able to support our families and find a cure. Consider this:

Donations have a real, meaningful impact in the lives of children in need.

Apollo has a motto:

We are asking you to help us in our mission to Never Give Up. Any and every donation makes a real-life impact in the life of a family facing childhood cancer.
