Make a difference in the life of a child.

Welcome family and friends! We are so excited to announce our fundraising efforts to dance in THON 2021! We both joined the sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, in the Spring of 2018, and that is where our friendship began. Since our first week joining our organization, we fell in love with THON and immediately started participating in door-to-door fundraising trips. As seniors and our last year at Penn State, it would be a dream of ours to experience our last THON as dancers. Dancing in THON entails that we stand on our feet for 46 hours to show our ongoing support for our Four Diamond families and everyone else affected by pediatric cancer.

Throughout our time in Zeta Tau Alpha, we have had the opportunity to build strong relationships with our five THON families. These relationships have allowed us to see the true impact THON has on the Four Diamond families. Our five THON families have been our true inspiration for being in involved with THON. Dancing in THON would be the perfect way to sum up our last three years and show the love and support we have for this cause.

Even with all of the uncertainty in the world right now, it doesn't change our fight for finding a cure for childhood cancer. Even though dancing in THON 2021 may be a little different than we anticipated, we would still love the opportunity to fundraise and dance For The Kids® and those affected by pediatric cancer.

Help save the lives of children battling cancer by supporting THONTM. Our IDC, Emma Clark and Jamie Ratesic, is taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers to raise funds and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer. Since 1977, THONTM has raised over $180 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Children's Hospital. Throughout our partnership, we have ensured that over 4,000 families have not seen a single medical bill. In addition, the local research that is being done is making a global impact so that one day, we will find a cure. Each February, THON's yearlong efforts and support for the families culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon.
By supporting THON, you will be joining a community committed to conquering childhood cancer.

Emma and Jamie have been working tirelessly all year with the hopes of being selected to dance in THON Weekend 2021. Independent Dancer Couples are dedicated individuals who set up their own fundraisers throughout the year, and with the support of friend and family, obtain tickets in a lottery system in the hopes of earning a spot as dancers in the Penn State Dance Marathon.
