Make a difference in the life of a child.

Hi friends and family! We are so excited to announce that we will be raising money to independently dance in THON 2021! If you are unfamiliar with Penn State’s THON, it is a 46 hour, no sitting no sleeping dance marathon in celebration of our year long efforts to raise money for families and kids suffering from pediatric cancer. As seniors who have been heavily involved in THON throughout the last three years, we believe there is nothing more rewarding than raising money together as an Independent Dancer Couple (IDC). Being an IDC entails standing all 46 hours of THON, and there is no one else we would rather do it with!

We are members of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity which are paired as fundraising partners (ZETAUS) each year for THON. This led to us meeting at our first THON in our freshmen year. In the coming three years we formed a very close friendship. Both of us have been highly active in fundraising efforts through ZETAUS during our time at Penn State. This year however we wanted to seize the opportunity to show our support on our own, and hopefully have the chance to attend THON as dancers in 2021.

Throughout our time here at Penn State and as active members as ZETAUS we have developed very close relationships with our five THON families. This gave us a chance to see the amazing impact that THON has on these family’s journeys. Seeing the impact THON has firsthand is what inspired us to be as involved as we are and dance our senior year.

Although the world is going through unprecedented times right now we will not let it dim our efforts of supporting the families affected by this horrible disease. Please help us continue our fight against pediatric cancer and as always For The Kids®!

Help save the lives of children battling cancer by supporting THONTM. Our Independent Dancer Couple, Ethan and Giulia, are taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers to raise funds and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer. Since 1977, THONTM has raised over $180 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Children's Hospital. Throughout our partnership, we have ensured that over 4,000 families have not seen a single medical bill. In addition, the local research that is being done is making a global impact so that one day, we will find a cure. Each February, THON's yearlong efforts and support for the families culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon.
By supporting THON, you will be joining a community committed to conquering childhood cancer.
