Society of Women Engineers Benefiting THON
The Sullivan Family has been paired with SWE for almost 8 years now and has really become a part of our family. Jhonen was diagnosed with leukemia but was able to win his battle having his last treatment in December of 2015. He is going to be 5 years in remission this upcoming December. Jhonen is now 11 years old and the most energetic ball of fun you'll ever meet. He loves drawing and playing around with the SWE girls whenever we get to visit. Along with Jhonen, SWE has also brought his mother Jen, and his two brothers, Zach and Trenton, into our family. Trenton is now 10 years old and somehow manages to match Jhonen's energy level. He is an absolute goofball and loves running around with SWE girls whenever he gets the chance. Zach is the oldest brother of the Sullivan Family and is now 18 years old. He really loves his younger brothers and would do anything for them. We have so much fun with the Sullivans during our family visits whether it's carving pumpkins, playing laser tag, go-karting, or just trying to keep up with their enormous amount of energy! They never fail to put a smile on our face!
The Plummer Family has been paired with our SWE Family since January 2018. Sela was diagnosed with Von Hippel Lindau and we hope to provide as much support her as we can during her battle. Sela will be turning 20 years old in October and graduated high school in 2019. She is currently studying Architectural Engineering at Penn State University Park! She is incredibly artistic and creates absolutely beautiful paintings. Sela is the sweetest person you will ever meet and we love spending time with her especially when we go painting with her even though her creations are always way better than ours! Sela's mother Kim, father Todd, and brother Max are also a huge part of our SWE family. We are so excited to see her bright future and her successes as an engineer!
We in SWE Benefiting THON want to be the best we can be when it comes to supporting our families. With your help, we can continue to grow these relationships we treasure so much. Thank you for taking the time to learn about our amazing THON families.
