Make a difference in the life of a child.

Growing up is a beautiful thing.  Let's fight for it.
Help save the lives of children battling cancer by supporting THONTM.
Sigma Phi Epsilon, alongside our partner fraternity, Pi Beta Phi, is taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers to raise funds and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer. Our year-long efforts as an organization and as a university working for one goal are seen during the final minutes of the 46 hour no sit no sleep dance marathon when the final total is revealed.
Since 1977, THONTM has raised over $180 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Children's Hospital. Throughout our partnership, we have ensured that over 4,000 families have not seen a single medical bill. In addition, the local research that is being done is making a global impact so that one day, we will find a cure. Each February, THON's yearlong efforts and support for the families culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon.
By supporting THON, you will be joining a community committed to conquering childhood cancer.

Sigma Phi Epsilon and Pi Beta Phi raise funds year-round in the commitment to put an end to childhood cancer.  Our organization supports our four wonderful Four Diamond Families, which are a constant reminder of why we THON!

Meet our Four Diamonds Families:

The Nixdorf’s: Jayden is the youngest member of our big THON family. In March, Jayden turned seven years old and as of June 3rd, we were thrilled to announce Jayden is officially done with chemo!!!! Jayden is our tough little warrior and we could not be more proud of him. He has the cutest smile and a love for Spiderman and Minecraft. He even got to play MineCraft with his favorite Youtuber this year, Denis! Announcing that Jayden is finished with chemo was a huge highlight of 2020, and is just another reason as to why we THON!!

The Bryan-Muñoz’s: Crystal Bryan-Muñoz is the most genuine person and we highly value our relationship with her. Her story is not the typical Four Diamonds Family story, as she is married and has kids of her own. Crystal is the perfect example of how even after the treatments are completed, the fight of having childhood cancer is never really over. We enjoy spending time with her, her husband, Luis, and their five kids. Her big happy family fills our organization with so much love and we are so grateful for them. Crystal is a hard-working, loving mother and never misses a THON event - she continues to raise awareness of childhood cancer and shares her story like a warrior.

The Jarrett’s: 11 years ago, Courtney Jarrett sadly passed away at the age of 15. Her mother describes her as a radiant, genuine, and caring young lady. Courtney is forever in our hearts and one of the many reasons why we THON. Her family is still actively involved with our organization and THON, and is as genuine and caring as was Courtney. One of Courtney’s siblings, Tiffany, danced in THON with a “We Wear Orange for Courtney” shirt. Every year, we wear our orange shirt during the final 4 hours of THON in honor of Courtney. We will forever wear orange for Courtney and THON for her. We are so grateful for the Jarrett family and their active support for our organization. Courtney is forever in our hearts.

The Vicidomini’s: Nick Vicidomini is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon and will be 11 years cancer free as of October 2020! We are so proud to say he is not only a cancer survivor but the Dancer Relations Director for THON 2021. Last year, he was a Dancer Relations Captain and it was such a thrill watching him perform the Line Dance on stage and light up the BJC. Nick is a childhood cancer survivor and inspires us to fight for more success stories like his own. He has spoken at many THON events and has touched so many hearts in doing so. Nick uses his story to encourage us to continue to fight in the effort to end childhood cancer. Battling childhood cancer has motivated him to continue to make a difference as a leader and a THON star!

Sigma Phi Epsilon is a Greek organization that works tirelessly each year to benefit THON. With the generous support of our large alumni base and dedicated members, we provide both financial and emotional support to families impacted by childhood cancer each year. Since 1973, the Greek community at Penn State has united through the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon.
