Make a difference in the life of a child.

Help save the lives of children battling cancer by supporting THONTM. Nick and Ethan are taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers to raise funds and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer. Since 1977, THONTM has raised over $168 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Children's Hospital. Throughout our partnership, we have ensured that over 4,000 families have not seen a single medical bill. In addition, the local research that is being done is making a global impact so that one day, we will find a cure. Each February, THON's yearlong efforts and support for the families culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon.
By supporting THON, you will be joining a community committed to conquering childhood cancer.

Why Does Ethan THON?

I THON for all the children that are losing their childhoods to fighting cancer. I have seen first hand the effects of cancer on both of my parents and grandparents and no child deserves to go through those pains. Last year I had the privilege of serving on a Special Events Committee where I got to learn first hand just how much work goes behind making THON possible. Helping make THON happen was a great feeling, but this year I wanted to do more. That is why I committed to raising money in efforts to be a dancer. If I can make any bit of difference in these kids lives then my goal will be met. Since I was young I have loved helping others. After seeing what cancer does, I felt the need to stand up to cancer and fight alongside these children. Any bit of help with our campaign would be amazing and truly appreciated. Thank you!

Why Does Nick THON?

I THON for the cure that will one day finally beat pediatric cancer. From the moment I came to Penn State, I saw the entire community come together for 46 hours to give children and families an unforgettable weekend. Going into my junior year, I decided that I wanted to give back more and became more involved by joining the Rules & Regulations THON committee. It was this committee that allowed me to see a different side of THON that allowed me to appreciate the cause even more. Words don’t even begin to describe the feeling of helping organize THON to see the smiles and laughter from children and families. This year, I wanted to take the next step and become even more involved by dancing on the floor for every second of those 46 hours with our Four Diamonds children and families. It is unimaginable what these children and families go through and the least I could do is raise money and dance in hopes of one day finding a cure and finally beating pediatric cancer. Every cent of donations go towards this goal and we appreciate any and all help with our campaign. Thank you! FTK!

Ethan and Nick have been working tirelessly all year with the hopes of being selected to dance in THON Weekend 2020. Independent Dancer Couples are dedicated individuals who set up their own fundraisers throughout the year, and with the support of friends and family, obtain tickets in a lottery system in the hopes of earning a spot as dancers in the Penn State Dance Marathon.
