Make a difference in the life of a child.

Help save the lives of children battling cancer by supporting THONTM. Our Organization, Club Swimming, takes action in a yearlong fundraising and awareness campaign committed to enhancing the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer. These efforts culminate each February in a 46-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon to raise awareness for such an incredible cause. Since 1977, THONTM has raised over $168 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Children's Hospital. Throughout our partnership, we have ensured that over 4,000 families have not seen a single medical bill. In addition, the local research that is being done is making a global impact so that one day, we will find a cure.
By supporting THON, you will be joining a community committed to conquering childhood cancer.

Club Swimming Benefitting THON works year-round to bring the team atmosphere that we have developed in the pool to our Four Diamonds Families and the THON community. The team participates in fundraisers, swims in meets and practices, and visits our Four Diamonds Families to bring our team closer and provide emotional support for our Four Diamonds Families.

Club Swim has the privilege of being paired with two incredible Four Diamonds Families: The Butler Family & The Yeagley Family!

A’Niah Butler is a spunky 9-year-old girl who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2014. She’s been in remission for nearly 4 years now.

A’Niah is beating all the odds now as she plays football for her local youth team. Last year she was the quarterback of her team and would run circles around the boys out on the field. Her whole time in treatment she would tell her oncologist “I’m gonna play football. I’m gonna play football” and once she had the chance she did. Club Swim loves when we get to go see her play and run the football all over the field. She constantly reminds us all that a positive attitude and an incredible spirit can help prevail over many hardships, and we are so lucky when we get the chance to have her energy around. We look forward to continue seeing A’Niah take on life, blazing her own path in everything she does.

Alyssa Yeagley is a 17-year-old girl who was diagnosed with Leukemia. She just finished treatment in January and is currently in remission. Alyssa cheers for her high school cheerleading squad and is currently looking at colleges (we're pitching Penn State). Alyssa is incredibly passionate and after her experiences with cancer, she wants to go to schoool for nursing and become one of the shining lights lights for others who are battling cancer. Club Swim was apired with the Yeagley's last year and we are excited to continue to get to know Alyssa and watch her go out and change the world for the better!

Club Swimming is a Penn State organization that participates in THON, in addition to our organization's primary purpose. Throughout the year, Organizations contribute to the efforts of thousands of Penn State students across all campuses by facilitating fundraisers, as well as providing emotional support to Four Diamonds Families.
