Penn State Cheerleading
Growing up is a beautiful thing, help us fight for it!
In 2018, our team was paired with The Aubrey Evans Family. Three year old Aubrey Evans was diagnosed with a Wilm's tumor on January 25th, 2018. After a year of fighting, our little warrior is currently in remission, but her fight is long from over. Aubrey, her parents, and baby brother Ellis still endure treatment and scans to this day. It is our teams' job to ensure this family will never see any financial burden throughout this process. We need your help to keep this family's spirits up during this most difficult time.
Our organization has been granted three dancers to represent the Penn State Cheerleading Team in THON 2020.
Katie Knorr is senior captain studying Marketing and has been involved in our THON organization since her freshman year. In her sophomore year, Katie became a THON chair and in her junior year she became our organization's Primary Chair in which she oversees fundraising, member involvement, and all logistical aspects for our entire organization. Katie is excited for all the things has to offer like the pep rally, talent shows, slides of strength and meeting so many people during the 46 hour weekend. Katie is excited to dance for our sweet THON child Aubrey who stole her heart in seconds. She is the driving force in Katie's excitement in THON 2020.
Sarah Wyatt is a senior captain studying Supply Chain and Information Systems. During her freshman year she was a member of the OPPerations committee and in her sophomore and junior years she was a member of the Dancer Relations committee to support all the dancers on the floor and currently Sarah is the Social Media and Online Fundraising Chair for our organization. Sarah is most excited to spend 46 hours with our amazing THON family having water gun fights and coloring. She is excited to dance with two of her teammates and experience every aspect of THON together. Sarah THON's so nothing causes children to lose the joy an innocence they have and so that kids can just be kids.
Anna Logerfo is another senior captain studying Supply Chain and Information Systems. During Anna's sophomore year, she was a member of the OPPerations committee and in her junior year became the Family Relations Chair for our organization. She plans all family events as well is the liason between our organization and our family. This position has allowed her to connect with our THON family in a new way. She will be dancing for 46 hours for them. She is looking forward to experiencing the final four hours and seeing all the families and knowing that she dance this weekend for them.
The Penn State Cheerleading Team is so excited to support and cheer on Katie, Sarah, and Anna during the 46 hours they will be standing For The Kids. We hope you will join us in fight by making a donation or raising awareness of our mission to end childhood cancer. One day we will dance in celebration but until then we will dance for a cure!
