Growing up is a beautiful thing. Let’s fight for it.
We, the brother of Zeta Beta Tau, have found unparalleled value in remembering how far we've come, not just have far we have to go. The story of our brotherhood has been written well and edited often, but in our hearts has been unceasingly powerful from the start. Over the past few years, thanks to the unmitigated outpour of support from our friends and family, our Penn State Alpha Psi Chapter has been blessed to gather over $30,000 in donations for numerous record-setting THON initiatives. THON, which is the worlds largest student-run philanthropy, is a 46-hour, no sleep, no sitting, dance marathon that aims at raising millions, over $168 million to date, for pediatric cancer patients across the country.
Over the last two THON campaigns gained traction throughout the honoring of Andrew Meyers, a Penn State student and dear friend of Zeta Beta Tau, whose untimely passing inspired not only those who had the pleasure of knowing him, but also our entire fraternal order. We also worked alongside the friends and family of late Dave Maslar, a well-known Penn State athletics aficionado, to gather donations in his memory. The legacies of Andrew and Dave have held a direct correlation to our record-setting THON totals and we vow never to lose sight of these magical relationships. In 2020, ZBT will be sending dancers to participate in THON and carry on the beauty of Andrew and Dave's lives through our journey to the City of Light, an integral precept in the hearts and mind of Zeta Beta Tau brothers worldwide.
Please consider donating to Penn State Zeta Beta Tau as we continue to spread God's love through THON and allow the dawn of love to flourish endlessly. Cancer is a word, not a sentence. We beat cancer by how we live, why we live, and the manner in which we live.
We Can. We Will. #WeAre.
Zeta Beta Tau is a Greek Organization that works tirelessly each year to benefit THON. With the generous support of our large alumni base and determined members, we provide both financial and emotional support to families impacted by childhood cancer each year. Since 1973, the Greek community at Penn State has united through the Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon.
