Make a difference in the life of a child.

Help save the lives of children battling cancer by supporting THONTM. Our Organization, Delta Sigma Pi (#85), is taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers to raise funds and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer. Since 1977, THONTM has raised over $168 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Children's Hospital. Throughout our partnership, we have ensured that over 4,000 families have not seen a single medical bill. In addition, the local research that is being done is making a global impact so that one day, we will find a cure. Each February, THON's yearlong efforts and support for the families culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon.
By supporting THON, you will be joining a community committed to conquering childhood cancer.

Delta Sigma Pi was founded upon three pillars - professionalism, community service, and social activities. With that being said, Delta Sigma Pi is dedicated to supporting our three wonderful THON families, the Sydney Bush Family, the Riley Camp Family, and the Andrew Wright Family.

For Sydney Bush
In August of 2005, Sydney Bush was two years old when she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Sydney had a successful surgery to remove the tumor at Hershey Medical Center and went through radiation therapy before the tumor unfortunately came back in 2007. She went into surgery once again, and following this second round of treatment, Sydney has been cancer free for 12 years! Today, Sydney is a 16 year old energetic cheerleader at Hempfied High School and is a captain of her school's MiniTHON.

For Riley Camp

Riley was 14 years old when he was admitted to Hershey Medical Center and his family was told his central organs were shutting down and he wasn't expected to make it through the night. After many months of tests, Riley was diagnosed with Leukemia and had to be an inpatient for 6 months. Riley's treatment commenced in 2013, and he heard the news that his cancer was gone. Riley is now 21 years old, and just celebrated being 7 years cancer free! He is now a super active person, his favorite activities are hiking and kayaking.

For Andrew Wright

Andrew had just turned 10 when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. It started out with an infected baby tooth and quickly resulted in having to make cancer treatment decisions. When he was diagnosed, he looked at his family and said, "I got this". Andrew is a tough, determined kid and got an IV for all 4 months he was in chemotherapy treatment. Andew is now almost 8 years in remission and is currently a student at Penn State, watching his favorite football team take the field on Saturdays.

Every year, Delta Sigma Pi strives to raise as much possible for the Four Diamonds families affected by pediatric cancer. Hundreds of us have been there supporting THON families, emotionally and financially, and we ask you to be a part of our their fight.
