Hi Friends and Family!

Rachel and Ally are very excited to announce that we will be trying to independently dance in THON 2020! This cause is something we are both extremely passionate about, and we’re excited to start this new journey and take our next steps in THON. Cancer has affected our family and friends in the past and present, but we are trying to help change the future. <3

For those of you who don’t know what THON is, here’s some information…

-THON is Penn State’s annual dance marathon that takes place over 46 hours. For spectators, they can come and go as they please, but must remain standing and awake while inside the Bryce Jordan Center. For the selected dancers, they must remain standing and awake for the ENTIRE 46 HOURS!! That’s right, no sleeping or sitting!

-THON is the largest student run philanthropy in the world. THON is an organization that makes a difference in the lives of families and children battling childhood cancer. Not only does THON help families monetarily, but also provides help to conduct top-tier research at Penn State Children’s Hospital, having a direct impact in pursuit of a cure.

-Throughout the years, THON has raised over $157 million to help find a cure for pediatric cancer. This year, Rachel and I hope to contribute to that total and dance for the 46 hours showing what #cancercannot do.

Independent Dancing is very difficult and here’s how it works…

Independent dancer couples are picked through a lottery system. To have our couple name put into the lottery, we must raise $2800. After that, we get another ticket for every $600. In the end, nothing is guaranteed, but the more tickets we get in the lottery, the higher the chances of dancing in THON 2020.

We’ll take care of the dancing, but it’s up to our friends and family to give us the best shot of getting on the floor. Every donation makes an impact and goes a LONG way, no matter how big or how small. Join us today in the fight against pediatric cancer!

Also, please feel free to send this to any of your friends and family!

And don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or suggestions for us while we fundraise!!

For the Kids,
Ally and Rachel

Growing up is a beautiful thing. Let’s fight for it.

Help save the lives of children battling cancer by supporting THONTM. Our Organization, Rachel Zeolla and Allyson Lutter, is taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers to raise funds and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer. Since 1977, THONTM has raised over $168 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Children's Hospital. Throughout our partnership, we have ensured that over 4,000 families have not seen a single medical bill. In addition, the local research that is being done is making a global impact so that one day, we will find a cure. Each February, THON's yearlong efforts and support for the families culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon.
By supporting THON, you will be joining a community committed to conquering childhood cancer.

Rachel Zeolla and Allyson Lutter have been working tirelessly all year with the hopes of being selected to dance in THON Weekend 2020. Independent Dancer Couples are dedicated individuals who set up their own fundraisers throughout the year, and with the support of friends and family, obtain tickets in a lottery system in the hopes of earning a spot as dancers in the Penn State Dance Marathon.
