Help save the lives of children battling cancer by supporting THON. Singing Lions is taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers to raise funds and awareness in the fight against childhood cancer. Since 1977, THON has raised over $204 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Health Children's Hospital. Throughout our partnership, we have ensured that over 4,800 families have not seen a single medical bill. In addition, the local research that is being done is making a global impact so that one day, we will find a cure. Each February, THON's yearlong efforts and support for the families culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon. By supporting THON, you will be joining a community committed to conquering childhood cancer.
We dance for 46 hours, standing alongside millions of others, to support, love, and care for the families who have heard the news that their child was diagnosed with cancer. Specifically, our organization is paired with 3 amazing families, The Broadwaters, The Barnetts, and The Bomboys. Unfortunately, Kirra and Lexi, 2 of our beautiful THON girls, gained their angel wings, but we continually support, love, and raise money in their honor for them and their families, as The Broadwaters and The Barnetts are a part of our family now. Lacey is our third THON child and we were able to sing with her on stage this past THON. She has a beautiful voice, and we were so thankful to be given the opportunity to perform with her on stage. These three beautiful girls have changed our lives for the better, and being able to give children the chance to dance, sing, and play while just being kids is one of our biggest goals while raising money for THON.
